Ridley Scott recently revealed that his Prometheus sequel would connect the characters even more with his Alien series. In fact, the film will be called Alien: Paradise Lost. That's great news for Alien fans, but not so great news for Neil Blomkamp. The director's own Alien movie was reportedly set to arrive after Paradise Lost, but now it's been shelved.
Last night, Blomkamp suggested that the movie was on hold indefinitely due to Paradise Lost. He offered up the following explanation on Twitter:
Ridley Scott was set to serve as a producer on Blomkamp's Alien, which was set to follow Ellen Ripley. Here's hope we get to see it happen one day.
