Anyone with a vague idea about pop culture has probably heard that there's more-than-usual drama going down at the Kardashian family headquarters this week — and now Will and Jada Pinkett Smith have intervened.
For those who don't know the backstory, Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson (an NBA player from Brampton) were together and had their first child last year. Following multiple cheating scandals, Thompson was allegedly caught hooking up at a party last weekend with Jordyn Woods — the best friend of Khloe's little half-sister, Kylie Jenner. The Smiths are good family friends of Woods (who actually met Jenner through the Smiths' son, Jaden).
Following a week of rumours and speculation (and lots of Jenner-Kardashians unfollowing Woods on Instagram), Woods decided to go public with her side of the story on Pinkett Smith's Red Table Talk Facebook series.
The conversation aired earlier today and was prefaced by a cameo from Will Smith via Facetime from the set of Bad Boys 3, in which he gives Woods some fatherly advice.
"The world attacks. It just happens," he starts. "You will never get around the world attacking, but I want you to know that you are supported and I got you. We got you."
From there, Woods and Pinkett Smith sit down at the series' titular table and go step-by-step through what happened on the night in question.
Woods admits that she went to a party at Thompson's house after a night of drinking, and that she left at 6 in the morning, but denied ever being alone with Thompson or hooking up with him. She did say that he kissed her when she was leaving in the morning, but she was so shocked that she just put it out of her mind and didn't tell Jenner or Khloe.
Woods admits that she shouldn't have gone to the party in the first place and should have been more truthful, but denies all of the rumours of hook-ups, conversations and full-fledged affairs.
It all seems earnest enough, but Khloe herself has already responded — and she's not buying it. Nor is she happy that Woods went public.

And as one reader asked during the discussion between Woods and Pinkett Smith — no, this apparently isn't just a publicity stunt for the upcoming season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

Why are you lying @jordynwoods ?? If you're going to try and save yourself by going public, INSTEAD OF CALLING ME PRIVATELY TO APOLOGIZE FIRST, at least be HONEST about your story. BTW, You ARE the reason my family broke up!

Tristan is equally to blame but Tristan is the father of my child. Regardless of what he does to me I won't do that to my daughter. He has been addressing this situation PRIVATELY. If Tristan were to lie publicly about what conspired, then yes I would address him publicly as well
