Two of the transgender community's biggest pop cultural forces will finally team up, as Olympian, trans activist and reality star Caitlyn Jenner has signed on for the upcoming third season of Amazon's hit series Transparent.
In an interview during the GLAAD Media awards this weekend [via Yahoo! News], the show's creator Jill Soloway called the casting "a dream come true."
Soloway would not reveal how big Jenner's role will be in the show, but she did say that Jenner will shoot her Transparent scene next week.
"We are all part of the same community," Soloway added. "A lot of the transwomen who work on our show are also in her show, I am Cait.... Lots of crossover. Lots of friends."
