Following a series of sexual harassment allegations, Transparent star Jeffrey Tambor has officially been cut from the show.
As Deadline reports, Amazon confirmed his departure today, saying Tambor would not be coming back for the fifth season of Transparent.
As previously reported, at least three women accused Tambor of sexual harassment while on the set of the hit Amazon series, including the actor's former assistant Van Barnes and co-star Trace Lysette.
"I have great respect and admiration for Van Barnes and Trace Lysette, whose courage in speaking out about their experience on Transparent is an example of the leadership this moment in our culture requires," show creator Jill Soloway told Deadline. "We are grateful to the many trans people who have supported our vision for Transparent since its inception and remain heartbroken about the pain and mistrust their experience has generated in our community."
Soloway added, "We are taking definitive action to ensure our workplace respects the safety and dignity of every individual, and are taking steps to heal as a family."
At this point, it's unclear when the fifth season of Transparent will air or if it will be the show's final season.
