Hit film franchise Beverly Hills Cop is coming back — and yes, Eddie Murphy is set to star.
Beverly Hills Cop 4 will arrive via Netflix, with Jerry Bruckheimer set to produce, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Apparently, the sequel is as part of a one-time licensing deal between Netflix and Paramount. Of course, the news arrives as the streaming wars heat up even further, as Disney, Warner and HBO all get into the increasingly crowded marketplace.
Paramount previously had plans for Beverly Hills Cop 4 once upon a time, but those were eventually shelved. The third film in the series arrived back in 1994, with Beverly Hills Cop 2 coming in 1987 and the original film in 1984.
As of yet, there is no firm premiere date for Beverly Hills Cop 4, so stay tuned.
