With the holidays fast approaching, Prime Video comes bearing gifts aplenty, with all manner of seasonal titles, sequels and series arriving to bring you tidings of comfort and joy throughout December.
Leading off the month is the Amazon Original film Candy Cane Lane, starring Eddie Murphy and Tracee Ellis Ross. The holiday comedy stars Murphy as a man on a mission to win his neighbourhood's annual Christmas decoration contest, though after cutting a deal with a mischievous elf named Pepper (Jillian Bell) to better his odds, she casts a magic spell wreaking holiday havoc on the entire town.
Other seasonal specials landing on Prime Video throughout the month include the animated family action-comedy Merry Little Batman, from the writers of Beavis and Butt-Head, Men in Black 3 and Tropic Thunder, and additional Amazon Originals in Your Christmas or Mine 2, Dating Santa and Un Stupéfiant Noël.
Outside of the holiday fare, the second season of fan-favourite Amazon Original action series Reacher premieres on December 15, following the veteran military police investigator's exploration into the mysterious murders of members belonging to his former U.S. Army unit, the 110th MP Special Investigations.
One can also get their fill of action with new Amazon Original series Los Farad, premiering on December 12. The eight-episode series, set in the '80s in the Spanish city of Marbella, follows Oskar, a boy with dreams of opening a gym who instead ends up becoming involved in arms trafficking.
As far as titles leaving Prime Video come the end of the month, you may want to get serious about series, with One Tree Hill, Monk, House, Downton Abbey and The Originals all heading making their respective exits throughout December.
