Katie Crutchfield turned 26 over the weekend, and the singer unveiled a snippet of new Waxahatchee material to celebrate the occasion.

Crutchfield posted a clip to her Tumblr that clocks in at under a minute, but features behind-the-scenes footage of her recording process and scenery from the Waxahatchee Creek area in Alabama. It was shot by Crutchfield, her twin Allison Crutchfield (of Swearin') and collaborator Keith Spencer. Spencer also pitched in on editing duties.

The most exciting part of the video comes at the end, with the confirmation of a new album due out in 2015. Her third album, it will mark the follow up to 2013's breakthrough LP Cerulean Salt.

As previously revealed, the new LP will arrive via Merge Records, with Stereogum reporting that it's due out in April. Check out the teaser clip for the forthcoming record below.
