Slayer

"You Against You"

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Sep 4, 2015

We are but a week away from the release of Slayer's Repentless, and the anticipation for the first full blast from the band in six years has got our blood boiling. Back on Monday (August 31), they delivered a pre-release download of the album's "Cast the First Stone," and the Big Four players are capping the work week with another free offer. Get it while you can, as "You Against You" is available pro bono for a limited time.

As you'll hear down below, Slayer get down and dirty on the front end of the cut, mixing an ominous stomp and deep, chugging guitar licks beneath Tom Araya's strangled cries. The song then thrusts into overdrive, fueled by a classic Kerry King solo full of ear drum-obliterating divebombs, wriggly licks and more. The manic thrash section goes on to detail being stuck in your very own personal hell.

Partnering up with Scion AV, Slayer are giving the track away to the first 15,000 thrash fans to get to it. It'll be streaming until the album lands September 11 via Nuclear Blast. Additionally, a press release notes that a 7-inch single featuring "You Against You" on the A-side will arrive in January.
