While pop dominator Rihanna is making her way back to the movie world this year by providing a voice for the upcoming animated feature Home, it's been revealed that she will also be creating a concept album about the film.
Though the details are slim, Variety reports that DreamWorks Animation head Jeffrey Katzenberg revealed Rihanna's musical contributions to Home yesterday (February 25).
RiRi will apparently offer up new tracks for the family-friendly film, about an alien invasion of earth, as well as a full concept album behind Home. With no details on the actual songs being offered up just yet, It's unclear if these tracks will all appear in the film. The record will be Rihanna's first full-length since 2012's Unapologetic.
Home is based on Adam Rex's children's book The True Meaning of Smekday, which centres on an alien race called the Boov that lands on earth with goals to take over and rename the planet "Smekland." Rihanna stars as 11-year-old Gratuity Tucci, who makes friends with an alien named J.Lo, voiced by Jim Parsons.
Other actors in the animated feature include Steve Martin and Jennifer Lopez, while the film is being directed by Tim Johnson (Antz, Over the Hedge).
Home hits theatres November 26.
