Anti-authoritarian grind masochists Pig Destroyer are the latest outfit to be toasted through Relapse Records' ongoing 25th anniversary celebrations, with the metal label announcing today (July 15) that it will soon be delivering a deluxe edition of the band's landmark Prowler in the Yard LP.

The tweaked-up release is due September 4 on double CD, as well as on vinyl and digitally. Described by Relapse as "one of the most important grindcore albums of all time," it had originally been released through the imprint in 2001.

This latest edition comes fully remixed and remastered by band guitarist Scott Hull. Though a full tracklisting has yet to be unveiled, it's explained that the expanded offering will contain one previously unheard number. Additionally, the package will come with a booklet featuring newly written liner notes, photos, and Decibel Magazine's "Hall of Fame" piece on the album.

There are a differences between the various formats, as the double CD will contain a bonus disc featuring the original mix of Prowler in the Yard. Vinyl variants, meanwhile, will arrive on blue-pink merge with yellow splatter, orange vinyl, and on silver vinyl. You can find out more info over here.

Back in 2001, Exclaim! praised the LP for its "angry bursts of rage" and "well-written, poetic and disturbing tales of heartbreak, loneliness and violence." You'll find the full review over here. A stream of "Scatology Homework," which seemingly details the shittiest of educational pursuits, can be found in the trailer down below.

While Pig Destroyer issued physical copies of the Mass & Volume EP in 2014, they've yet to announce a proper follow-up to 2012's Book Burner.
