Blake Harrison of Pig Destroyer Dead at 48

Blake Harrison, a former member of Pig Destroyer, has died. He was 48 years old.

Harrison was in the grindcore band from 2006 until 2022, contributing samples, noise and sound design. His work for the group appears on three of their albums: Phantom Limb, Book Burner and Head Cage.

"Everyone that knew Blake loved Blake," a statement on the band's Instagram reads. "Light bent around him. You only had to meet him once. We in Pig Destroyer are forever grateful for the time we’ve been able to share with him."

As a full-time electronic musician, Harrison's work spanned beyond Pig Destroyer, as he also worked with bands like Tentacles of God, Zealot R.I.P., Triac and Hatebeak.

An official cause of death has not been revealed.
