New Order

"Plastic"

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Sep 16, 2015

Though New Order won't be delivering the entirety of their Music Complete until the end of the month, the British synth-pop mainstays have broken off another piece of the platter to preview. The latest reveal is the fantastic "Plastic," which is streaming online now.

The track is full of digital delight, with oscillating keyboard patches weaving together plenty of tense melodies above a firm programmed drum beat. Flesh-and-blood frontman Bernard Sumner adds a nervous human touch to the proceedings, weighing in on broken relationships ("will you fix me?") and regret.

You'll find "Plastic" down below, while the rest of the album arrives September 25 via Mute.
