'Mixtape: An Unauthorized Biography' (Eps. 2 & 3)

These days, the world "mixtape" can mean everything from a compilation to a casual collection of original music to a full-blown, commercially available album. To shed some light on this rather muddled medium, the Scion Sessions are taking a closer look at the mixtape with a documentary series, which can now be seen in full.

Following episode one of Mixtape: An Unauthorized Biography, the second and third instalments have since emerged. In these two latest episodes, which add up to a little more than 10 minutes in length, various music industry insiders talk about their favourite mixtape songs, the reason why mixtapes are so important, and how the mixtape has evolved from its origins to the present day.
