It's been a year since Black Mountain vocalist Amber Webber first told Exclaim! about the album she was putting together with Cave Singers member Derek Fudesco as Kodiak Deathbeds. Following a few dreamy previews from the duo, they've now officially delivered their self-titled debut.
The ten-song collection puts the focus on Webber's warm and textured vibrato and the folky, minimalist guitar patterns of Fudesco. Already, we'd heard tracks "Cross That Line," "Against the Wind," "Rattle & Roar," and "We Found a Home."
Those are just four of the 10 tracks housed on the new LP, though. Elsewhere, you've got the personal histories-exploring opener "Never Change," the familial folk number "Gemini," the fresh-squeezed sweetness of "Saturday Night," and the pebble-skip ripple of the up-tempo "Borderline."
You can stream the entirety of the LP below, while limited edition LPs can be ordered over here.
