Here's some sweet news for fans of the Jesus and Mary Chain. The beloved Scottish alt-rock outfit have announced a North American tour to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their influential debut LP, Psychocandy.
While some info leaked over the weekend, the band revealed their itinerary in full today (January 26). A press release confirms that classic, noise-saturated cuts like "Just Like Honey" and "Never Understand" will be performed in nine North American cities this May. The trip kicks off May 1 in Toronto, with JAMC taking part in Canadian Music Week. The act will also play Vancouver's Vogue Theatre on May 13.
You'll find the full schedule, which includes an appearance at the Austin Psych Fest, down below. Tickets go on sale this Friday (January 30).
Intriguingly, the press release notes that the trek "will be the continuation of a year of activity not only celebrating the 30th anniversary of Psychocandy but also looking firmly ahead to the future."
