Flying Lotus Opens Up About Film Projects

Flying Lotus is one of the most talented beatmakers in the game, but it looks like he's going to be trying his hand at filmmaking, since the producer has revealed that he's working on writing a movie.

In a series of tweets, FlyLo hinted that he's actually got two film projects in the works. On the one hand, there's a script written with Farrell Rose and Terence Nance, which he wants Kahlil Joseph to direct. (Fans will remember that Joseph directed Flying Lotus' prior short film Until the Quiet Comes, plus flicks for Kendrick Lamar and Arcade Fire.) Judging by his tweet, it appears that the writing is finished.

And then there's another script that he's working on currently. FlyLo first hinted at this project a few days ago, and in the early hours of this morning (January 10), he elaborated that he had been working on ideas in Tokyo. He's apparently roped in "one of my favorite writers" to help with the project, although he qualified his apparenth enthusiasm by writing, "Who knows what will happen."

His tweets in the past few days have also hinted at some musical plans for 2015. See the relevant tweets below.
