Daft Punk Team Up with Giorgio Moroder on New Album
It seems as if Daft Punk are on a serious collaborative kick these days, with info having leaked that the pair recently worked with Chic's Nile Rodgers, as well as Paul Williams. Now they've roped in another '70s-era superstar to record with them: disco pioneer Giorgio Moroder.

As URB reports, the synth wizard revealed during an interview at the International Music Summit that he recently joined the robotic duo to lay down a "rap."

Apparently, Moroder entered a vocal booth loaded with various vintage microphones and was asked to relay stories about his life. The microphone he used depended on which decade of his life he was speaking about. Apparently, when Moroder asked if Daft Punk would know the difference, the studio engineer stated, "They will know."

Details have yet to properly surface for Daft Punk's as-yet-untitled album, but songwriter Williams had previously hinted that the record could arrive as early as June.

Daft Punk's last release was 2010's Tron: Legacy soundtrack.
