Acacia Strain

The Most Known Unknown

Boasting one of the stupider names for a live DVD in recent memory, and an almost overwhelming amount of live footage, it's questionable whether or not a band with such a straightforward approach should be playing 21-song sets in the first place, especially if they're going to neglect their first release entirely. That said, fans of the Acacia Strain's distinctive mosh attack will find much to love here, which compiles another shorter set along with the aforementioned behemoth. On top of this, there is an informative documentary that features interviews with members, former members and various people affiliated with the band. Unfortunately, even this descends into monotony once they break out the tour photos and penis jokes, but there are occasionally amusing anecdotes. The live footage is representative of the group, although a fair bit of the intensity of their live show is lost in the translation to the small screen, so the main draw is the documentary and other goodies (music videos, etc.).
