Experimental rock group Xiu Xiu released their Girl with Basket of Fruit LP earlier this year and were intent on bringing the songs out for a world tour. Their upcoming dates have been cancelled, however, as frontman Jamie Stewart takes time to work on his mental health.
In an official announcement on the Polyvinyl Twitter page, it was reported, "Jamie needs to take some time to focus on his mental health and get the proper rest he needs in order to do so. We appreciate your understanding."
Xiu Xiu's tour had included Canadian stops in Toronto on September 25, Kingston on September 26 and Montreal on September 27 (as part of Pop Montreal).
