Wintersleep Take 'The Great Detachment' on Canadian Tour

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Jan 18, 2016

Judging by their name, you'd think folky indie rock crew Wintersleep would be hibernating at the moment, but the band have been plenty busy plugging their forthcoming The Great Detachment LP. After having announced the album and previewing the collection with their "Amerika" single, the band have revealed they will be touring behind the set just as the winter season wraps.

The first round of dates behind The Great Detachment begins on March 1 in Kingston and will find the band trekking around Ontario and Quebec before bouncing through Western Canada. Along the way, they will hit such cities as Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary and Winnipeg.

You'll find the run of dates down below.

As previously announced, The Great Detachment is being delivered March 4 through Dine Alone. The act's sixth full-length effort was written in Montreal but tracked out at Halifax's Sonic Temple studio with producer Tony Doogan (Belle & Sebastian, Mogwai).

Beneath the concert info, you'll find a stream of recently revealed The Great Detachment track "Amerika."
