On top of starring in the Netflix film Bright last year, Will Smith looked to make a move to revive his music career alongside Jazzy Jeff with an EDM banger titled "Get Lit." While we thought that track was anything but, Smith has now shared some new footage of him getting back in the booth to record in true "Big Willie Style."

In a clip titled "Messing around in the studio," Smith fires off some casually boastful bars about his past success, which are undeniably more lit than his recent output. He raps, "I'm an anomaly / Do drama or comedy / I could play Muhammad Ali / Or a white lady, probably."

"At my peak, I was doing a television show, a movie, and an album every year so it was like churning out, that kind of creativity," Smith explains in the clip. "What happens is you get to a point where you get empty. So I'm excited, I'm re-energized and I'm creating wildly like I used to. I'm ready. I got the beast back."

Smith's studio sesh comes after it was reported he would perform the official 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia theme song. Titled "Live It Up," the track finds Smith collaborating with Diplo, Nicky Jam and Era Estrefi.

A press release notes that Smith recently wrapped a video shoot for the World Cup song in Budapest, where he is also shooting his latest film.
