Surprise! With The Black Album barely a month away, Weezer just surprise-released a new covers LP titled The Teal Album.
The 10-song record builds off the success of Weezer's cover of Toto's "Africa," which appears here as the first track. Beyond that, it's full of faithful renditions of well-known hits, with a heavy focus on '80s pop like "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" (Tears for Fears), "Billie Jean" (Michael Jackson), "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)" (Eurythmics) and "Take on Me" (A-ha).
There's also some classic pop ("Happy Together," originally by the Turtles), '90s R&B ("No Scrubs," originally by TLC), and even a little hard rock ("Paranoid," originally by Black Sabbath).
Take a listen below. The Black Album comes out on March 1.
