Weezer

"Thank God for Girls" (video)

BY Alex HudsonPublished Nov 16, 2015

Weezer already gave their hip-hop-flavoured power-pop single "Thank God for Girls" a curious video involving gluttonous cannoli eating, and now the same song has gotten a more elaborate clip.

Directed by SCANTRON, the video stars frontman Rivers Cuomo as a crooked preacher who heals people with a single touch and fleeces his congregation for money. His Weezer bandmates play his disciples at the church, and they use their followers' cash for a poker game against a group of women. In the end, Cuomo gets his comeuppance. There's much less cannoli than there was in the last clip, but the pastries do make a brief appearance.

Check out the clip below. There's no word as to whether "Thank God for Girls" will be on a new full-length album, but don't forget that Weezer have also shared another new song called "Do You Wanna Get High?"
