We Are Busy Bodies Turns Five, Celebrates with Toronto Charity Gig Featuring DD/MM/YYYY, METZ, Mayor McCa

Toronto indie label We Are Busy Bodies has now been operating for five years. And considering it's not exactly easy to keep a label afloat in these harsh digital times, it's a definite cause for celebration. So the label is breaking out breaking out their very own anniversary show, which will feature DD/MM/YYYY, METZ, Mayor McCa and Germans and will double as a food bank benefit in an effort to help out the less fortunate during this holiday season.

The party will take place this Friday (December 18) in Toronto at the Garrison (1197 Dundas St. West), beginning at 9:00 p.m. Tickets are only $5 if you lug down five canned food items, or $10 without, and the first 50 to the gig will get a free We Are Busy Bodies "grab bag," which we can only assume means musical goodies.

The label, which is home to the likes of Andre Charles Theriault, Meligrove Band, Cuff the Duke and the Zoobombs (to name a few), is also celebrating the recent addition of a management branch to the label. So far, the label manages Boys Who Say No, DD/MM/YYYY, Meligrove Band, METZ and indie heavyweights By Divine Right. What's not to celebrate?
