Wax Mannequin Tours Canada's East, Releases New Seven-Inch with the Burning Hell and Hits Up Exclaim! TV

BY Alex HudsonPublished May 12, 2011

Last year, Wax Mannequin (aka Chris Adeney) toured Canada and sold his own candles along the way. Now that warm weather is on the way, the Hamilton, ON-based songwriter is ready to hit the road once again.

This month, he will be touring Canada's eastern half with fellow Ontario songwriter Jenny Omnichord. There are 12 shows in total, but the gigs in Rothesay, NB, and Montreal, QC, are at unconventional locations, so message Adeney through Facebook for access. In regards to the Montreal show, he writes, "Contact me if you'd like to attend. If you just show up, we will fucking destroy you." Yikes!

Along the way, Wax Mannequin will be selling his new seven-inch with the Burning Hell. Entitled Hear Some Evil, it was recorded last year in Courtenay, BC, and will come out via Label Fantastic!, the imprint founded last year by Adeney and Jenny Omnichord.

Expect a Western Canadian tour in July and a European outing in September. And be sure to check out Wax Mannequin's recent Exclaim! TV session at the bottom of this page.
