After a little over a month of speculation as to whether there was any beef between the two, J. Cole and Lil Pump have quashed any thoughts of conflict with a new sit-down interview.
The 57-minute interview finds the two sitting down at Cole's North Carolina studio the Sheltuh. The back-and-forth finds them discussing how they got into rap, family life and the alleged lyrical barbs that led to the meeting.

Listeners who got familiar with J. Cole's new KOD LP honed in on lyrics from the album's final track "1985 (Intro to 'The Fall Off')," alleging Cole's lyrics to the latest generation of rap stars singled out Pump explicitly, despite not naming anyone. On the track, Cole raps, "I heard one of em diss me, I'm surprised / I ain't trippin, listen good to my reply / Come here lil man, let me talk with ya / See if I can paint for you the larger picture."
Pump addressed the alleged diss in a video shortly after, calling Cole a "lame ass jit." He added, "I ain't worried 'bout none of you old heads. I ain't wit none of that lyrical shit, I just be having fun with what I do."
Last year, Pump had also teased a diss track titled "Fuck J. Cole," though his friend and collaborator Smokepurpp later clarified that the two were trolling.
In the interview, Cole revealed that he and Pump met face to face for the first time at Miami's Rolling Loud festival, where they had a 15-minute conversation.
Cole's KOD is out now, while Lil Pump recently popped up alongside Diplo, French Montana and Zhavia on "Welcome to the Party" for Deadpool 2.
