Long-running Brooklyn songsmiths the Walkmen have offered up another sample from their forthcoming "relaxed" LP, Heaven. We had previously heard album track "Heartbreaker" in a live video, and now we have a studio version of the title cut.
The track certainly plays easy-breezy, coasting on a simple two-chord melody and streamlined drums. The song plays hopelessly romantic as ever, though, with vocalist Hamilton Leithauser pleading for someone to stay by his side. "Stick with me. You're my best friend. All of my life, you've always been," he croons on the cut.
