In the midst of touring behind this year's acclaimed Synchro Anarchy, Canadian metal icons Voivod have announced plans to revisit some of their formative early releases with a new box set.

Forgotten In Space, arriving July 29 via BMG Canada, collects three of Voivod's full-length albums released via Noise Records, bringing them together with live tracks, demos, previously unseen concert footage and much more.

Available in coloured vinyl and CD editions, the Forgotten In Space box set packs in studio LPs Rrrröööaaarrr (1986), Killing Technology (1987) and Dimension Hatröss (1988) — all of which feature remastered audio — alongside the previously cassette-only live set No Speed Limit Weekend '86, and a disc of Dimension Hatröss demos.

On top of all that audio, both editions include a booklet of photography and new interviews with founding drummer Michel 'Away' Langevin, and the Chaosmongers DVD, which features a mini-documentary in addition to a previously unseen concert from 1987, and an audio recording of the band's legendary 1985 performance at the World War III festival in Montreal, which also featured Celtic Frost, Destruction, Possessor and Nasty Savage.

Below, you can hear a previously unreleased demo version of "Psychic Vacuum" and get a look at the coloured vinyl edition of Forgotten In Space — which also includes MP3 files of the albums and demos housed on a menacing Korgüll the Exterminator-shaped USB drive.

Last month, a campaign was launched to erect a Voivod statue in the band's hometown of Saguenay, QC.
