Chicago rapper Vic Mensa has been on our radar for a while. The former Kids These Days member broke through with his solid sophomore release Innanetape in 2013. It's been a long journey since, and the rapper now frequently collaborates with Kanye West. Today, he's officially been welcomed into the clique with news that he's signed with Roc Nation Records.
The deal was first announced by head honcho Jay Z via a brief tweet.
The news was confirmed via a Roc Nation press release. If you've paid for a proper Tidal account, you can also watch an exclusive video for Mensa signing on with the label here.
To coincide with the new deal, Mensa's recent Kanye-assisted single "U Mad" is now available on iTunes. The song can also be streamed below.
