Following a successful 2017 edition, Vancouver punk festival Rocket from Russia FEST is returning to the city this summer.

In 2018, the fest organized by Vancouver-based Russian punk enthusiast Russian Tim will go down at the city's Astoria from August 16 to 18.

On those three nights, the event will feature 18 Vancouver acts, including the likes of Needles//Pins, the Hextalls, Cambridge, Jock Tears, Sightlines, Jesse LeBourdais and the Long Winter, You Big Idiot, the Greatest Sons, Pavel Bures and more.

Besides the fest proper, Russian Tim will be releasing his very own magazine to go along with the event, with each band getting a page and full creative freedom to contribute whatever they want to the publication.

Also, there will be a compilation called Punkouver vol. 2 released for Rocket from Russia 2018, featuring songs by all 18 bands playing the event. Russian Tim promises that most of the songs are new and will be exclusive to the comp.

UPDATE (8/13, 3 p.m. EDT): You can now stream the entire Punkouver vol. 2 compilation down at the bottom of the page.
