Underoath Confirm Reunion

Last month, Christian metalcore act Underoath had fans in a tizzy when they teased a "rebirth." Now, they've confirmed that two years after their farewell tour, they've reunited.

So far, the group have only announced one show — an appearance at the Self Help Music Festival in San Bernardino, CA, next year. The show takes place on March 19 and also includes sets from A Day to Remember, August Burns Red, Issues, Further Seems Forever and others.

The concert marks Underoath's first appearance with founding drummer/vocalist Aaron Gillespie since 2009. Speaking about his return, he said, "This will be fun, just pure fun. So excited to get real closure and give all the peeps the best night ever with my five oldest buddies."

The band's other vocalist Spencer Chamberlain added, "I think after the storm settled, we immediately started being friends again. I'm not sure if the 'stars aligned' or what. All of our schedules lined up to where we could do this show. I couldn't be more stoked!"

It's unclear whether or not Underoath will perform any other reunion shows. For now, Self Help Fest tickets are available here.
