Ultraspank

Progress

BY Kevin Stewart-PankoPublished Sep 1, 2000

I think it's just darn tootin' hilarious when a band puts drivel like, "we had more time to experiment on this album," in their bio and the degree of experimentation is laughable at best. Ultraspank come from that whole scene of nu-metal bands that are rhythmically staid, but selling albums by the truckload. Progress does absolutely no favours for anyone, aping Alice in Chains, Tool, Machine Head, Korn, Sevendust, Soundgarden, Static X and Nine Inch Nails. If you'd like to save the money it would take to buy albums by those bands, just pick up Progress and call yourself enlightened.
