Toronto's steadily rising Tory Lanez is gearing up to release a new album called I Told You this fall, and while we'll have to wait a few months to give the set a spin in full, he's offered up a stream of a new tune. You can cuddle up to his "Luv" right now.
Produced by Benny Blanco and Cashmere Cat, the song updates and interpolates dance hall duo Tanto Metro and Devonte's "Everybody Falls in Love" single. The familiar hook has been polished with some AutoTune, while the rhythms have been given a modern day bop.
Lanez's lines sum up sweetly how it's totally okay to get shot with Cupid's arrow from time to time. To put it his way, "it ain't a crime." He also promises that he's the kind of guy who will love you a long time, bare minimum until the arrival of the morning light.
You can check out Lanez's "Luv" below, while an official ETA for I Told You is still pending.
