Celebrating its fifth year of operation, Toronto multimedia concert series Long Winter is set to kick off its first edition of the season next month, and organizers have revealed who will be on hand for the launch event.
The musical lineup includes Blonde Elvis, Chastity, Twist, Cupcake Ductape, Zoe Sky Jordan, Mazola and OBUXUM, while an art portion of the evening will feature work from Therapy Font, Katie Kotler, Morris Fox, Damian Lebiedzinski, Jennifer Warne, Zoo Owl and Jesse Wick from Heretical Objects Collective. The comedy segment of the evening will feature Long Night with Vish Khanna, with more to be announced.
The launch event also marks a change of venue for Long Winter, leaving the Great Hall in favour of the Polish Combatants' Hall at 206 Beverley St. Tickets for the all-ages event are $10 in advance, or PWYC at the door, though having a ticket allows you to skip the line.
