Toronto restaurant/bar and live music venue Parts & Labour announced that it was closing its doors for good come the start of 2019, leaving the future of its basement venue, the Shop, in doubt. Now, it appears the space is set to reopen this month.

A standalone website for the venue advertises seven upcoming events that will take place in the venue before the end of March, including an "official soft opening party" set for tomorrow night (March 14).

Additionally, the venue's Instagram account posted a short clip of the basement through the Story function, showcasing some new interior renovations. Toronto DJ Big Jacks also confirmed the Shop's reopening on Twitter, noting that he'd be spinning at the venue on March 15.

It remains to be seen whether or not the Shop will make use of both Parts & Labour's main floor and the basement venue, or remain solely downstairs.

In the years before Parts & Labour's closure, the Shop played host to the likes of Iceage, METZ, Mac DeMarco, Odonis Odonis and more. More recently, the basement venue became home to a multitude of DJ nights, including Boosie Fade, Party & Bullshit, No Chill and others.
