TOPS

Formerly known as Silly Kissers, TOPS performed at the Arbutus Records showcase exhibiting their youthful spin on indie pop, consisting of elements of cutesy girl/boy harmonies, tropical jams, and modernized '80s staccato synth pop. The band's catchy, lighthearted songs and dance-happy stage presence all ooze young love and wide-eyed enthusiasm -- and considering the recent wave of successful young, lively indie pop bands sprouting out of Montreal (think recently debuted dream pop outfit Braids), TOPS could very well have the potential to flourish on the local scene.
