Having done the bulk of his music-making with Prophets of Rage these past few years, Tom Morello is now set to strike out solo with a star-studded new album.

Titled The Atlas Underground, Morello's 12-track solo disc is set to arrive October 12 through Mom + Pop. The album marks Morello's first full-length under his own name, having previously released three solo albums and an EP as the Nightwatchman. His latest under that moniker, World Wide Rebel Songs, arrived in 2011.

The Atlas Underground's lengthy guest list includes contributions from (in order of appearance) Knife Party, Bassnectar, Big Boi, Killer Mike, Portugal. The Man, Whethan, Vic Mensa, Marcus Mumford, Steve Aoki, Tim McIlrath, K.Flay, Pretty Lights, Carl Restivo, Gary Clark Jr., Nic Stadi, Leikeli47, GZA, RZA and Herobust.

"The riffs and the beats led the way, but the extraordinary talents of the collaborators set my creativity into uncharted territory," Morello said of his collaborators in a statement. "I've been devoted both musically and as an activist to fighting injustice at every turn."

Morello added, "Amid this heightened sense of impending doom, it's now time to rally the troops in a last-ditch effort to save the planet, and our artistic souls. By challenging the boundaries of what music is and has sounded like before, you can open people's eyes to changing the status quo in society."

Morello has shared a pair of tracks alongside the album's announcement. Read through the tracklist to hear Knife Party-assisted opener "Battle Sirens" and the Vic Mensa-featuring "We Don't Need You" in the players below.
