The classic Blink-182 lineup are back, and as Tom DeLonge, Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker prepare to release a new album, DeLonge has promised that it includes "some of the most progressive, and elevated music we've ever had."

In a tweet posted this weekend (October 15), DeLonge said that the newly released single "Edging" was "fun, and a perfect way to remind u of the fun again." But he seems even more excited for the rest of the album: "In honesty, I am holding my breath for you to hear these other songs," he wrote.

Posting a smiling imp emoji, he added, "Just u fucking wait."

DeLonge's material with Angels & Airwaves touches on atmospheric space rock — something he was starting to dabble in on his most recent album with the group, 2011's Neighborhoods. He later admitted that he was "too heavy-handed" when changing the band's sound on that album.

Blink-182 haven't announced the details of their next album, but presumably, it will be timed around their massive 2023–2024 tour.
