Having gone on an "indefinite hiatus" in 2012, California post-hardcore outfit Thrice reunited for some well-received shows in 2015. Now, they've announced plans to solidify their reunion by releasing a new album in 2016.
On Facebook, they posted the above photo of a mixing desk, confirming that their new album will be out in 2016. That image is all of the information we currently have, but it's doubtless enough to get Thrice fans plenty excited for the new year.
This will be the group's first album since 2011's Major/Minor. Their last few releases have all come out through Vagrant, so it remains to be seen whether they stick with the same label.
This is the second consecutive year that Thrice have wrapped up with a teaser image. In December of 2014, they posted a "Thrice 2015" image that depicted them performing.
