We just caught word that Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke would be writing music for a Broadway show. Now, footage has emerged of Yorke performing an untitled new song during an appearance at Latitude Festival in the UK last month.
Yorke performed alongside his frequent collaborator Nigel Godrich on July 19, and this newly uncovered song taps into the electronic side of the singer's oeuvre. Around five minutes of the arrangement consist of a twitchy drum machine groove with sparse vocals and computerized robo synths. In the final couple of minutes, the arrangement glides into a more gentle, pretty synth passage.
Watch fan-shot footage below, and stay tuned to find out whether this song will ever be released and, if so, which project it will be attached to.
