Texas-based post-rock unit This Will Destroy You have revealed they're ready to release their first full-length in three years, Another Language. The instrumental act's fourth album arrives September 16 through longtime label Suicide Squeeze.
Though details haven't been shed in full, a press release notes that the album comes in the wake of "a prolonged vacuous dark period that threatened to break both the band and the members themselves." While 2013 saw the release of the Live in Reyjavik, Iceland concert set, this is the first studio effort from the ensemble since 2011's Tunnel Blanket.
The nine-song set is said to display a "graduated sense of song-writing, tonal complexity, and studio prowess." While you'll have to wait a few months to find out about the album as a whole, the band have let loose a stream of first single "Dustism." You'll find the track — big on ambient washes, ethereal guitar tones and crashing drum work — beneath the tracklisting and a series of global tour dates, which include a Toronto on October 28.
