The Weeknd was due to head out on a massive After Hours world tour this coming January, but the artist has now revealed plans to expand the scope of the performances, and will need some extra time to map out the events as a result.

In tandem with a teaser clip that announces the After Hours til Dawn Stadium Tour, Abel Tesfaye has also shared that the previously scheduled dates will now commence sometime next summer.

The announcement reads:

The tour dates are moving will commence in the summer of 2022. Due to constraints of arenas and the demand for more shows I want to do something bigger and special for you which requires stadiums. Current tickets will be refunded automatically and all ticket holders will be given priority to buy tickets for the stadium shows when they go on sale. New dates forthcoming.

Tesfaye was due to perform in Vancouver, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Toronto and Montreal early next year. It remains unclear how these dates will be affected. Since plotting the original dates, the artist has also announced that his new album was completed earlier this month. While we wait to hear more, see the artist's announcement below.
