Just shy of three years removed from sharing his Dark Bird Is Home LP, the Tallest Man on Earth is taking a different approach to releasing new music this time around.

The Swedish singer-songwriter (a.k.a. Kristian Matsson) has announced a new five-part series titled When the Bird Sees the Solid Ground, with each monthly instalment featuring a new song and accompanying video.

Right now, you can check out the first instalment — the new song/video "An Ocean."

A press release notes that both the songs and videos are part of an ongoing project that will be produced as the series runs throughout 2018. The songs in the series will also be released individually, with a total of five arriving over the course of the year.

To go along with the project, Matsson has also mapped out a fall tour. After touring Europe in September and October, he'll arrive in North America for dates throughout November. Canadian stops are schedule for Montreal on November 13, Toronto on November 15 and Vancouver on November 23.

Tickets will go on sale to the general public March 16 at 12 p.m. local time, with pre-sale opportunities being announced next week.
