The Simpsons has a strange knack for predicting the future when it comes to real world events, but what about smaller scale happenings in the music world? One viewer has seemingly found a potential inspiration behind the artwork for Tycho's recent LP Epoch within the show.
Twitter user Seumas Slingerland (full disclosure, this author's brother) spotted the similarity between the band's cover art and a painting in Ned Flanders's home. The painting in question appears in "Bart of Darkness," the first episode of the long-running show's sixth season.
You can find a comparison that the group have since shared below.
Epoch arrived as a surprise release at the tail end of September through Ghostly International. As for The Simpsons, the show was recently renewed for another two seasons.
