The Sadies are set to explore Northern Passages with the arrival of their new LP this coming February, and on new track "It's Easy (Like Walking)," Kurt Vile serves as their guide on lead vocals.
Having had the likes of Neil Young, Gord Downie and Neko Case front their band before, working with Vile as lead vocalist sounds as if it were a natural fit.
"Kurt did a tour supporting the Sadies about a thousand years ago. We didn't really know each other before that but we've been friends ever since," Dallas Good told Consequence of Sound.
Good continued: "We always talked about collaborating one day so I forced his hand by sending him this finished song with a very short deadline attached. He delivered, as he always seems to do."
Northern Passages arrives February 10 through Dine Alone.
