Since releasing their sixth album Positive Thinking over the summer, along with the singles "Fair Enough" and "So What," Vancouver pop-rock duo the Pack A.D. have been on tour in Europe, and are now gearing up for their North American tour this fall. Before they headed out, we caught up with Becky Black and Maya Miller at Kops Records in Toronto for a performance of "Yes, I Know."
As they begin playing, it's hard to believe the Pack A.D. are only a two-person band with the amount of energy they give off. Dark and honest lyrics like "nine to five hours / in that glass tower / all the time in world to expire" contrast with Black's catchy guitar riffs. But when she roars "Yes, I know" and Miller pounds on the drums as the song comes to an end, its true nature shines through.
