The Killers Preview Upcoming Single After New Album Info Leaks Online

If you've been wanting new music from the Killers, you're in luck. Today (June 9) news leaked of both a new album, as well as its lead-off single, sparking the band to share what's believed to be a snippet of said song.

Of all places, Fox News Australia reported that the Killers would be performing at this year's AFL Grand Final on September 30, stating the band "will release its first album since 2012 just 10 days before the AFL's showcase event."

Do the math and that would mean a new Killers record will be arriving on September 20. However, with that being a Wednesday and not a Friday — the day when new albums arrive — there's some doubt there.

Furthermore, the publication reported that the Killers "are also set to release their new single 'The Man' on Thursday June 15."

Then shortly after the news started to spread, the Killers shared the new clip below. While not confirmed, the brief snippet is believed to be a taste of "The Man."

Whether those release dates are accurate remains to be seen, but the Killers have definitely been working on a new album, which will mark their first since 2012's Battle Born. The band have recently been recording in L.A., San Diego and Las Vegas with producer Jacknife Lee, with the as-yet-untitled effort reportedly being mixed at the moment.
