Having mapped out a sizeable North American tour earlier this summer, the Cult have now shared further details of their forthcoming album Under the Midnight Sun — out October 7 via Black Hill Records — in addition to sharing a new song from the record.

Following lead single "Give Me Mercy," the group now share a Juan Azulay-directed music video for "A Cut Inside," as well as the tracklisting for the record, both of which can be seen below.

Named for Ian Astbury's encounter with the midnight sun over Provinssirock festival in Finland, the vocalist found "new mysticism" in the moment and used that spirit to guide the record.

"It's three in the morning, the sun's up, and there's all these beautiful people in this halcyon moment," Astbury remembered in a statement. "People are laying on the grass, making out, drinking, smoking. There were rows of flowers at the front of the stage from the performances earlier that evening. It was an incredible moment."

The band will return to the road next week with a show in Vancouver. After which, they'll head to Calgary, Edmonton, Saskatoon and Winnipeg. Check out the full schedule here.
