The Anniversary Hint at 2016 Reunion

With a name as nostalgia-laced as the Anniversary, it's fitting that the synth-spiked emo-rock outfit are hinting at an upcoming celebration of some sort. Though details have yet to be revealed in full, the long-dormant Kansas combo are suggesting something big is happening in 2016.

While the act had called it quits back in 2004, newly produced Facebook, Instagram and Twitter profiles have now launched, each posting a logo-loaded image teasing that something is on the horizon. It's as yet unclear if this means live dates are on the way or if a release is forthcoming.

The band was formed by guitarist guitarist/vocalist Josh Berwanger, guitarist/vocalist Justin Roelofs, keyboardist/vocalist Adrianne Verhoeven, bassist Jim David and drummer Christian Janko in the late '90s. Following split single releases with Proudentall and the Get Up Kids, the quintet issued their debut LP, Designing a Nervous Breakdown, in 2000.

Assorted singles and sophomore LP Your Majesty would follow before the band's breakup, with a B-sides collection called Devil on Our Side being delivered posthumously in 2008.
