The 1975 were scheduled to release their new album Notes on a Conditional Form next month, but that will now no longer be the case. The band's Matt Healy has confirmed the record is being pushed back and will now likely arrive on April 24.
Healy made the reveal on Instagram Live, saying, "Sorry to fuck you about." He explained, "It takes like three months or something to physically make a record on vinyl so it comes out on the 24th of April, I think. Sorry if that's annoying or whatever…For the sake of a couple of months, in the grand scheme of things [the delay] doesn't really make any difference."
Despite the lengthy delay, Healy said the band will release at least four more teaser tracks from the album in the lead-up to its release. The next song set for release is called "Me and You Together Song," which is scheduled to arrive on Thursday (January 16).
Notes on a Conditional Form is set for release through Dirty Hit/Interscope. The album follows the band's 2018 album A Brief Inquiry into Online Relationships.
